Google Plus Codes

We introduced Google Plus Codes as an innovative solution to address the critical challenge of unaddressed homes in underserved communities like Dhoke Hassu and Orangi Town. Without formal addresses, residents face barriers to essential services, economic opportunities, and social inclusion. By implementing this groundbreaking digital addressing system, we are not only transforming lives locally but also pioneering a model that can be scaled globally to empower countless other communities facing similar challenges. Our efforts demonstrate how technology-driven solutions can bridge gaps, foster inclusivity, and create lasting impact worldwide.

Nala Mapping

Urban flooding in Karachi, worsened by unplanned development, clogged drains, and encroachments, poses a major challenge. To address this, TTRC and UIL launched the Nala Mapping Project, analysing flood-prone areas like Manzoor Colony and Orangi Nala using advanced mapping, community engagement, and architectural expertise.

Heat Maps

In LMICs, fragmented data hinders health program efficiency. To address this, UIL used spatial heat maps to visualize contraceptive supply and demand, revealing regional disparities and stock gaps across Pakistan.
